A stray puppy wandered onto naval base and found his “human father” there
The fate of homeless animals develops in different ways: some are taken into families and they begin a new carefree life, while others remain wandering the streets in search of daily life.
Today we will tell you a story of a little dog that came to the right place at the right time. Being only a six-month-old little puppy, he wandered into an overseas US naval base. He was noticed by the commander of the Navy who immediately realized that the puppy would not survive in this dangerous environment.
At that moment, he remembered their motto – “Who came alive, he leaves alive.” Following the motto, the commander took the puppy and decided that he must survive against all odds.
The puppy was named Griffin. He became the favorite of all the soldiers. Griffin entertained tired soldiers with his funny antics after a hard day’s work.
Griffin became the star of the US Navy. The commander was considered the official owner of the Griffin. The puppy followed the commander literally on the heels.
The commander decided to seek help from the company “Paws of War”. This company dedicated its activities to soldiers and their adopted animals who needed to be taken to their families in the United States.
The cost of these services is not very cheap. The average cost varies from $3,500 to $7,500 depending on the medical quarantine and where they are located.
The commander from Maryland, who wished to remain anonymous, decided to send the Griffin to his family – to his wife and children – where he would be more comfortable and safer.
This organization is non-profit so they reach out to their followers and volunteers who are willing to help by donating on their website. The transfer of the pet is carried out at the expense of the collected amount. So far, more than 40 people have donated between $10 and $100 so that Griffin can be reunited with the Commander’s family.
