Alison Porter shared touching moments of her wedding celebration.

Alison married Justin De Vera, her childhood friend and professional dancer. The couple got married at the Venus Garden Chapel at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Sunday.

The lovers met when they were still small, but began dating six years ago. They announced their engagement at the end of July last year.

The couple decided to exchange handwritten vows during the wedding ceremony.

“We know each other from childhood. We are friends since childhood. And now the moment has come when we want to get even closer and become a family, ” Porter described her romance with the dancer.

“Our wedding is very personal and very ours. We didn’t do anything traditional — just do what we felt was right,” admitted Alison. The celebration was led by a close friend of the couple Guy, who is the godfather of their 17-month-old daughter Shiloh.

De Vera proposed marriage to Alison during a David Gray concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. The song This Years Love was playing at that time. They decided to listen to this song during their wedding too.

At that moment, the song This Year’s Love was playing, which sounded during their first dance together. “We are grateful that the universe has brought us together. Since then, we are best friends and have always loved each other,” Porter assured.
