What you are about to see is not a painting or photoshopped.

This happened for real and absolutely is not imaginary.

The picture shows us how a weasel cub rides on the back of a woodpecker.

Martin Le-May is a non-professional photographer from London. He took these photos in one of London’s parks.

This isn’t a touching story about animal friendship because the truth is quite the opposite.

Here’s what happened.

Weasels are predators. They bust into nests and eat eggs and helpless chicks. They even can eat adult birds sometimes.

So, in this case, when the weasel went into the nest something went wrong and the bird carried him away from there.

The photographer was trying to show a woodpecker to his wife that day, so he had his camera ready.

When the bird landed meters away from the couple, the weasel got afraid of people and ran away. The bird also left leaving the married couple shocked.

This was an extraordinary case that Martin and his wife were lucky enough to see.
