Madonna reacted to the scandal – she said that the tabloids enthusiastically showed her face in close-up. At the same time, according to the Hollywood star, her face, due to unsuccessful angles, looked plumper than it is in reality.

The music legend shared a funny video of herself chatting with other stars including Sam Smith and Cardi B. In the short clip, Madonna appeared in both her suit and the black lace bustier outfit and the same quirky braids tied around her head that she wore to the Grammys.

The singer went berserk after facing backlash for her appearance on stage. According to Madonna, people ignored her speech, focusing on her appearance.

“Instead of focusing on what I said in my speech, many people chose to only talk about my close-up photos taken by a press photographer with a long-focus camera, which would distort any face!” Madonna said.

“I am again influenced by the ageism and misogyny that pervades the world we live in. This world refuses to celebrate a woman over 45 and feels the need to punish her if she continues to be strong-willed, hardworking and adventurous,” the Daily Mail quotes the star.

Madonna has stated that over the years of her career she has never apologized for her creative decisions or appearance, and does not intend to do so now.
