Alison Agerrebere from California went out for her everyday morning jogging. On the pavement ahead of her, Agerrebere noticed a small white dog. The dog was not on a leash and this made her worry.
“The dog looked lost. I decided to step up and understand what happened,” Agerrebere told The Dodo.
She approached and a sign not far from the dog caught her eye – “My name is Harper. I live here and I like to pretend to be lost. Just stop and stroke me.”
Agerrebere realized that the little dog had simply tricked her.
Agerrebere squated and stroked the cunning dog. After about 25 minutes, the owner of the dog came out and unsurprisingly said, “Did you fall for it too? Harper needs constant attention from people. She doesn’t even come into the house. She likes to be in the yard and lure people towards her with her sweet and pathetic look.”
Anyone who sees Harper will take pity and approach her. The dog is very cunning and lures people to her with her dexterous skills. She wants to be loved, caressed and stroked by everyone.
“I fell in love with this little liar and couldn’t move away from her for about an hour. As soon as I started petting her, she rolled over on her back and started playing with me,” Agerrebere said.
