The Newborn Girl She Adopted Is Actually Her Son’s Biological Sister

Kathy Page decided to start a new chapter in her life after her marriage ended in her early 30s. She turned her life around and moved to Colorado where she started a new chapter in her professional life and made the choice to become a foster mom. It was difficult for her to conceive a child, but she was always interested in the adoption process.

In 2016, Katie learned from a social worker about an unknown boy who was only four days old and was abandoned at a local hospital. On the birthday of this 11-month-old Grayson boy, Kathy officially adopted him.
Katie is very happy with her role as a mother, but she thought it would be best to wait a few more years before accepting another child into her family.
But less than a month after Grayson’s adoption, another social worker called her and informed her of a critical circumstance. The newborn girl was abandoned in the same hospital and fast adoption was required for her adoption, and she accepted.

A few hours later, this little Hannah girl was taken to Katie’s house, where she was introduced to Grayson and given a permanent place to call home.
But when Kathy looked closely at Hannah’s small hospital bracelet, she made a startling discovery when she recognized the name engraved on Hannah’s baby bracelet—her birth mother’s name was the same as the name that Grayson’s birth mother had provided to the hospital.

While she was going through Hanna’s discharge paperwork, she discovered that Hanna’s biological mother and Grayson’s biological mother had the same birthday.

Katie had a hidden premonition that her two newly adopted children, Grayson and Hannah, were somehow related to each other, even though they didn’t look alike.
Cathy’s desire to know the truth led her to do more investigations, and eventually, she discovered Hannah’s biological mother, and DNA testing established beyond a shadow of a doubt that Grayson and Hannah were in fact, biological siblings.
Katie said: “Imagine if the baby was adopted by another family. I was speechless because the miracle that happened was beyond my comprehension.”

In December 2018, Katie officially adopted Hannah into her family: “The day I said yes to the adoption of a Girl, I had the most unusual feeling that ever crossed my mind.

Even though it didn’t fit into my plans. This is truly a miracle and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity…
