“Before Parkinson’s Disease”: What Did Michael J. Fox Look Like In The Best Years Of His Life?
In 2020, actor Michael J Fox, best known for his role as Marty McFly, announced his retirement because of progressive Parkinson’s disease. It seems that everyone knows him in the image of the hero of Back to the Future, but the first popularity of the actor was brought by a completely different role.
Before acting, Michael became interested in hockey. It was with this sport that he wanted to connect his future with, but Michael’s small growth of 5.3 feet did not give hope. Fox resigned himself to his fate and decided to try his acting talent.
Frustrated that he couldn’t become a hockey star, he auditioned for a role in Leo and Me. After filming ended, Michael was sure that he wanted to become an actor.
Then he left Canada and went to conquer Hollywood. He had both successful and unsuccessful spheres. The role in the series “Family Ties” brought him a great calling and it was an acting breakthrough for Michael.
Almost from the first episodes, they started talking about him as almost the main star of the series. He has won three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe.
His lead role in the sci-fi film “Back to the Future” brought the actor worldwide fame – it is with this image that we associate Fox today.
