Elmer Alvarez lived in Connecticut and had no money whatsoever. Once while walking he saw a piece of paper on the ground he picked it up and it was a check for 10.000 dollars. Most of us would’ve taken it, but he decided to find the owner and give it to him.

The owner turned out to be a woman who had a real estate agency. She was so touched by the act of the homeless man that she told him she was once homeless too.

Roberta took Elmer to her real estate school for free. She also gave him a place to stay.
Returning the check changed the man’s life forever.
