The media tycoon who is worth an estimated $17 billion recently announced his engagement to Ann, just six months after they met and less than a year after his divorce from his fourth wife, Jerry Hall.

Rupert proposed to Ann on St. Patrick’s Day in New York, presenting her with a solitaire ring with a personally selected Asscher-cut diamond. Although he was nervous and afraid of strong feelings, Murdoch is confident that Ann is his last love and that they understand each other perfectly. The wedding is scheduled to take place at the end of the summer.

Ann is a former police chaplain and widow of country music star Chester Smith.

She describes her relationship with Rupert as a “gift from God” and reveals that they share the same beliefs and language. She also admitted that she was waiting for the right moment to get engaged again, and her friends are happy for her.

Rupert has six children from his previous marriages, including daughters Prudence Macleod, Elizabeth, and Grace, as well as sons Lachlan, James, and Chloe. His fourth wife, Jerry Hall, had no children with him during their six-year marriage.

In contrast, Ann has been married twice before, including to Chester Smith and attorney John B. Huntington, whom she claimed physically and morally abused her and drank heavily.
