The girl came to the shelter for a kitten, but found an inscription on the tag of the kitten that changed her life!
When Jerad Forsyth decided to propose to his girlfriend, he thought of a unique surprise. He wanted to do this important act with the help of a small kitten taken from a shelter.
The couple, who met two years ago on a blind date, just recently decided to adopt a cat. It was Kat Woodley, Jerad’s girlfriend who was supposed to visit the Erie County SPCA shelter to pick up the animal.
Kat went to the shelter. She was shown a small kitten that had a tag with an inscription. She read in a hurry – “Will you marry me?” Turning around she saw Jerad standing on one knee and waiting for the long-awaited answer.
“I was shocked. I thought he went to work… I couldn’t even imagine that he was a surprise for me. Jerad’s aunt works for the SPCA (shelter), so I figured she was the one who made the tag for us,” Kat said.
The bride answered “Yes”. The whole cute event was filmed on camera and the video, uploaded to the Internet, immediately went viral.
The adopted kitten was named Gandalf. The animal has already made friends with his new owners’ dog named Shamus. They don’t fight, and quite the contrary, they get along very well.
Kat and Jerad are planning their future wedding, it will definitely involve their pets… And it’s really cool!
