A seriously ill man would never leave his house and kept his dog in a closed bar. His neighbor got worried about the animal and invited groomers for him. What they saw shook them.

He was in awful conditions and seems sick. What surprised them was his 35-pound wool. Because of its heaviness, he couldn’t walk.

Big Fluffy Dog Rescue was informed about the incident.

They wrote on their social media, “You cannot imagine the conditions in which this dog lived. And there are no words to convey all this horror. The man who owned the dog just occasionally threw food and water at him. The conditions were so appalling that we had to shovel feces out from under the door – otherwise, we could not open the door. The dog has never walked on the grass and never seen the sky above him,”

They tried to shave him, but he got nervous because of the scissors. When they calmed him down the shaving process started, he was patient like he knew they wanted to help.

He adapted to being around people quickly. After the procedure, they took him to the shelter and named him Lazarus.

His tail was broken, also he had several tumors, and overall poor health condition.

He recovered quickly, and he started his journey to adapt to normal life.

After some time, he started walking freely. He started to trust people thanks to the affection they showed him.

When he solved his mental and physical problems the workers started to find him a loving family.

He was adopted by a lovely couple. By his eighth birthday, he grew a beautiful fur coat.

After being strong and unhappy for a long time, thankfully he found himself a forever home where he is adored and loved.
