Wildlife rehabilitators rescued a newborn squirrel and took care of her! Later the animal refused to go to the wild!

Wildlife rescue and rehabilitation specialists Christina and Michael were called to the scene of an incident. A squirrel built a nest near a man’s hallway for his two newborn squirrels.

The nest made of branches and dry leaves was reliable for the squirrels, but the squirrel mother herself, being very busy looking for matelals, stopped coming to the squirrels.

Specialists failed to save one of the squirrels. The second was alive, but could not have survived without the help of specialists.
Christina and Michael could not leave the baby to her fate and took on the responsibility of caring for the little one. The squirrel was named Thumbelina.

Thumbelina was small, but she was strong and fought for life. The younger sister did not survive, and she had to fight for survival alone!

Christina and Michael bottle fed the baby. When Thumbelina grew up a little, her human parents noticed that the squirrel was behaving strangely. She does not look like ordinary squirrels.

The strange behavior of the squirrel is apparently due to the fact that she grows far from her “friends”. All of Michael’s attempts to introduce her to wildlife ended in failure. Thumbelina likes the home lifestyle.

The little one is enjoying life with her foster parents and seems pretty happy!
